Fell & Sell overworld and adventure path leading into progression mysteries

Players are finding a sword in stone encounter and asking why they cannot pull it. This is exactly the sort of launch-week mystery where bad guides start inventing requirements, so here is the useful version: the exact unlock condition is not verified yet.

The Weapons tracker records only official category evidence, while the Materials tracker keeps unresolved sources such as Pen and Ink separate. Neither establishes a Sword in the Stone condition.

What we can verify

Steam achievements prove Bloodstone items exist as a distinct category because there are achievements for selling 5 and 10 Bloodstone items.

Patch 1.0.2 also proves the game has inventory/weight checks around weapons, because it fixed an overload case where swapping weapons could destroy the item that no longer fit.

Those facts make inventory capacity a plausible thing to test, but they do not prove it is the sword’s unlock condition.

What we cannot verify yet

There is no official source, current-build patch note, or reproducible community consensus that proves a requirement such as:

Until one of those is reproduced, it stays a theory.

What to test without wasting a run

If you encounter the sword and it will not move, record:

That creates useful evidence. “It worked for me” without the state of the run does not.

This page will be updated the moment the condition is reproduced or confirmed by the developer.
